ICCRA to arrange workshops on ‘crime-scene reporting’

Islamabad—The Islamabad Crime & Court Reporters Association (ICCRA) on Sunday held an important meeting to discuss various issues the association is facing and to ensure better coordination among the members of the association. The meeting served as a platform to get the members introduced to each other.
ICCRA President Shakeel Qarar presided over the meeting while National Press Club’s Secretary Imran Yaqoob Dhilon was the chief guest on the occasion.
On the occasion, senior ICCRA members shared their experiences with the young lot and urged the crime reporters to keep the police and law-enforcement officers in constant touch. “You will not be regarded a successful reporter unless you know all the officers from Moharrar, SHO and right to the SSP of your city by name,” said one of the senior members of the ICCRA. It was also decided during the meeting that ICCRA would arrange workshops on ‘Crime Scene Reporting’ for the crime reporters and members of the association.
Zaman Mughal Secretary of the ICCRA, Treasurer Khurram Malik, Information Secretary Fida Sabir and senior members like Ayub Sabir, Yaqoob Malik, Aziz Alvi, Ch Javed, Rashid Malik, Shamim Khan, Zafar Malik, Munawar Azeem and many others also participated in the meeting.
It was also agreed in the meeting that an effective system of coordination among the members would be devised. Steps would also be taken to get insurance policy for the crime reporters and their families insured. Members of the association frankly discussed their problems and appreciated the ICCRA president and his team for holding such informative, thought-provoking meetings. At the end three Samsung 7-J mobile phones were announced through ballots. Chief Guest Imran Yaqoob Dhilon gave away the mobile phones to winners Shamim Khan, Khurram Malik and Zafar Malik.
