He said that the IBA) Karachi is back again with its 4th edition of ‘ProBattle’, hosted by the Computer Science Society (CSS). It was pointed out that the journey of ‘ProBattle’ started three years ago and its success is still a watermark to the efforts led by the team members as well the enthusiastic participants.
The success chain continued the next few years and now the pride of CSS is back again with a new version, a new dimension and a mammoth full of surprises, it was further stated.
IBA ProBattle is a platform for the young minds of our society to compete in unique and creative ways. It ensures an outburst of originality and innovation. ProBattle is all about individuals from all walks of life and different backgrounds competing against one another in numerous competitions.
The event will consist of a number of challenges and activities that would encourage the participants to think out of the box and use the knowledge they have learned to lead the event with ProBattle’16 Trophy thus preparing students for the industry where skill, speed and efficiency of an engineer cannot stand firmly without the sound knowledge of ideas, innovation and revolutionary products. Moreover this time around, there will be a display of Final Year Projects from Computer Science students as well as a Career Fair in IBA ProBattle.
Students will get an opportunity to display their technical skills honed over a 4-year academic career to be judged by a highly-qualified panel of industry-savvy jury.
The Career Fair aims to incorporate a more practical glimpse into the future for participants and students in an attempt to bridge the gap between academia and industry.—APP
