Challanges NAP implementation
Swabi—Awami National Party Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has said that census is not being carried out in country to keep Punjab dominance intact, adding that law and order situation is not reason to avoid census but fear of provinces to be given powers. He said Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is concerned about CNICs of Afghans, adding that if Chaudhry Nisar did not want to take people into confidence then he should take parliament into confidence that at what extent National Action Plan has been implemented.
He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa government has no concern for people of province but it is concerned about the fight for Takhat-e-Punjab and Islamabad.
He said the amendments of tribals should be included in FATA reforms, adding that the tribals should be given representation in assemblies. He said the indiscriminate action should be taken against all people whose name appeared in Panama.
Addressing a rally in Swabi, Asfadnyar Wali said that the country is in immense need of census. He went on to say that it is not the law and order reason that baring the government to hold census but the fear that provinces will get powers.
Asfandyar Wali said that without establishment of peace in Afghanistan, peace could not be established in Pakistan. He stressed that victimization of Afghan people must be ended adding that he was Afghan, is Afghan and will remain Afghan till his death.
The ANP chief said that National Action Plan (NAP) failed because its implementation is not needed but review of Pakistan’s foreign policy and interior policy is needed. He said effort is being made to remove the educated Pakhtoon from the way. He said the internal and foreign policy of the country should be revisited.
He said the indiscriminate action should be taken against all those whose name appeared in Panama leaks, adding that this is not right that one person is talking about coming on roads against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif due to political differences and is not ready to name Jehangir Tareen and Tarkai because they are his own aides. —SABAH
