In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have greeted the people and the government of Pakistan on the eve of their Independence Day.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, in a statement in Srinagar greeting the people of Pakistan prayed for the development and prosperity of the country. He said that while Pakistan had always advocated settlement of the Kashmir dispute, India never demonstrated seriousness and good faith for its resolution. He also called for complete shutdown on India’s Independence Day, August 15, and appealed to the people of IIOJK to boycott all functions related to the event.
The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Sidiqui, in a statement issued in Srinagar, conveying best wishes and prayers on behalf of people of Kashmir on the eve of Independence Day, thanked the government and people of Pakistan for their political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom from India.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Mehaz-e-Azadi, Muhammad lqbal Mir, in a statement in Srinagar, felicitated the Pakistanis on the eve of their Independence Day. He said that Pakistan was the only country in the world which had always supported the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and their freedom struggle on political, diplomatic and moral levels. He has called for observing August 15, India’s Independence Day, as Black Day and urged India to shun its policy of might and resolve the Kashmir dispute as per the United Nations resolutions.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Youth Forum, Umar Aadil Dar, in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “We extend our heartiest felicitations to the people, government and army of Pakistan on their Independence Day being celebrated on August 14.” He said, Kashmiris are highly grateful to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for its continued moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris’ just cause and struggle. Umar Aadil Dar said, strong and stable Pakistan is very important for the resolution of Kashmir dispute. “We pray to Almighty Allah for peace, strength, stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan,” he added.
The illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that a strong and stable Pakistan was essential for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He thanked the people and government of Pakistan for their continued support to the Kashmir cause.
Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, in a statement issued in Srinagar, congratulating the government and people of Pakistan, prayed for the progress, prosperity and stability of the country. It said that the brutal and inhumane treatment meted out to Muslims by Hindu extremists in India proved that the demand of Muslims of subcontinent in 1947 on the basis of Two-Nation Theory was justified.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad has warmly felicitated the Government and the people of Pakistan on the eve of their Independence Day and prayed to Almighty Allah for its success and prosperity in every walk of life.
He said, “Pakistan is facing manifold challenges and surely Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom is Pakistan’s goal to be achieved in near future”.
The JKPFL has chalked different activities in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate the day.
The Convener of AJK chapter of Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, in a statement issued in Islamabad, greeting the Government and people of Pakistan on the eve of their Independence Day, said Pakistan is the backbone of Kashmiris and is extending its moral, political and diplomatic support to them in their struggle for achieving their right to self-determination. He said, “Our hearts beat together, and Kashmiris in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and all over world will celebrate this day. Pakistani flags will be hoisted in Srinagar and other places of the territory.”
The Jammu and Kashmir National Front senior Vice Chairman, Altaf Hussain Wani, in a statement in Islamabad extended his heartfelt felicitations to the people and the government of Pakistan on their Independence Day.—KMS
