National Council of Social Welfare (NCSW) organized a one-day public awareness seminar titled ‘Reforming Education Sector of Pakistan and our Social Responsibilities’ in collaboration with JamiaAl-Kauthar, a Prominent Education Institution of Islamabad.
Dr Nadeem Shafiq Malik, Chairman, NCSW presided the seminar while Mr. Qasim Khan Suri, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan was the Chief Guest. Ms. Sobia Kamal Khan, Parliamentary Secretary for Kashmir Affairs, and Mr. Aftab Jahangir, Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmonywere the Guest of Honours.
Prominent Parliamentarians, Representatives of Civil Society, Prominent Educationist, Civil Servants of concerned departments and students participated in the seminar.At this occasion, Qasim Khan Suri, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan addressed as a chief guest and said that the main agenda of present government is the development of human resources that is impossible without education.
It is the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan that no child should remain out of school due to deficiency of resources. Government is committed to provide quality standard of education. Prominent Parliamentarians said that adoption of a uniform education syllabus / curriculum across the country can present national narrative, based on inter faith harmony; tolerance and social responsibilities and this will unite the nation. It is a positive step that M/o FE&PT is working with provinces for a uniform syllabus. It is the vision of Prime Minster of Pakistan to bring 25 million out of schools children to schools. All political Parties have a consensus to allocate more funds and resources for the education of out of school children.
