Hot, humid weather to prevail across country

Islamabad—No significant rain is likely on the occasion of Independence Day, falling on August 14, and hot and humid weather conditions would prevail in most parts of the country.
Senior Meteorologist, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Muhammad Ayaz told APP that the weather would remain hot and humid during the next week in most parts of the country.
However there are chances of light or moderate rain during night time or early morning at the upper parts including few places of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
“We are not seeing any monsoon weather system which can bring significant rain during the week. Humidity can rise with increasing temperatures”, he observed.
The weather system which was causing monsoon rains has vanished for the time being, he said. —APP
