Hot, dry weather likely

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most part of the country during the next twelve hours. However, rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at a few places in Malakand Division and Gilgit-Baltistan. Temperature of some major cities recorded on Saturday morning: Islamabad and Muzaffarabad twenty degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-five, Karachi twenty-seven, Peshawar twenty-two, Quetta thirteen, Gilgit eighteen and Murree fifteen degree centigrade. The Multan Met office has forecast dry weather for city and its suburbs during the next 24 hours.
On Saturday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded as 37.3 degree centigrade and 26.5 degree centigrade respectively. The humidity was recorded 60 per cent at 8:00 am and 35 per cent at 5:00 pm. The Karachi Met Office on Saturday forecast fair/partly cloudy weather for Karachi during the next 24 hours. An official of Met Office said that the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32 to 34 degrees Centigrade during the period. He stated that the maximum temperature recorded on Saturday was 33 degrees Centigrade whereas the minimum temperature was 26.2 degrees Centigrade.—Agencies
