Home Minister dispels impression of large scale transfers in police

Karachi—Sindh Home Minister, Suhail Anwar Sial, has dispelled the impression that large scale transfers are under consideration in Police. He was presiding a high-level meeting in Central Police Office (CPO) here on Wednesday.
The Minister said that for positings and transfers, priority is given to the performance of the police officers. He said that steps are being taken to ensure that postings of the deployed officers, continue till appropriate period of time.
Home Minister said that reluctance or delaying tactics for the registration of First Information Report (FIR) cause problems for the people and are disliked. He asked the supervisory officers at the police station to perform keeping in view the public interest.
Sial pointed out that the government of Sindh has a zero tolerance for corruption or irregularities. He said that the new IGP has a good reputation, honest and bold officer.
The Minister said that implementation of National Action Plan be ensured in letter and spirit. He stressed the need of coordinated and targeted police operation against crimes.—APP
