A six members delegation of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) visited Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, (MAJU) Karachi to assess progress on Ph.D/M.S. degree programs.
An official said here on Wednesday that the delegation comprised of Suleman Ahmed, Dr. Amir Ijaz, Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Prof. Dr.Abdul Sami Qureshi, Agha M. Raza and Umer Nawaz.
HEC delegation during its visit to MAJU reviewed the matters related to admission Policy and procedure, academic program, curriculum, available faculty, lab and library facilities and others issues related to Ph.D/ M.S. degree programs.
It also visited classrooms, computer lab & library and talked to students and faculty members about their research and supervision.
President MAJU, Prof. Dr. Zubair Shaikh welcomed the HEC delegation and apprised them of MAJU’s Ph.D/M.S. degree academic programs.
He said that we are encouraging research activities by considering it our national duty to encourage research activities.
He said we are strictly following HEC guidelines in letters and spirit to continue outcome base education here.
Associate Dean, Computing & Engineering, Dr. Asim Imdad, Associate Dean, Management Sciences, Dr. Shujaat Mubarak, Director, Research & academics Dr. Syed Imran Jami, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, Dr. Munir Hussain, and Heads of Economics, Computer Science, Engineering and Management Sciences, Dr.Shafiq Ur Rehman, Dr. Shoukat Wasi, Dr. Ghazanfar Munir and Syed Hasnain Alam Kazmi respectively briefed the HEC delegation about their departments’ progress on Ph.D/M.S. degree programs.—APP
