Havelian-DIK motorway land acquisition soon

Islamabad—The process of land acquisition for Havellian to D.I Khan motorway, a part of Western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would start from next year. The government has allocated funds in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for acquisition of land for Western route, official sources said here.
The first section of Western route of CPEC from Quetta to Gwadar is scheduled to be completed by end of this year. The work on Quetta-Gwadar section is being completed at a fast pace to benefit the most-backward areas of the country. This change is started to appear in the form of emerging of human settlements on section of Western route from Quetta to Gwadar.
A new era of development and prosperity would usher in Balochistan when missing links on western and central routes would be completed. The universities in FATA, Zhob and Gwadar, located on Western route of CPEC would also start functioning this year to produce quality human resource for CPEC in these areas.
These universities are part of government’s ef-forts to produce quality human resource along with focusing on infrastructure development and energy production through this mega development project. The US$ 46 billion CPEC projects would be allocated among three major sectors of the economy.—APP
