The large crowd gathering at the Gaddafi stadium provides enough evidence that Pakistan has defeated terrorism and the credit for this goes to political leadership of the country who despite security threats remain determined to hold Pakistan Super League (PSL) final match in the provincial capital. Therefore, hats off to Chief Minister Punjab and provincial government whose untiring efforts resulted in successful holding of PSL final match in Lahore.
Certainly, it was due to the collaborative efforts of different state institutions that the dream of holding this national event has materialized into reality. The successful holding of PSL final in Lahore sends message to terrorists and other non-state actors that their nefarious designs cannot shake the courage and determination of Pakistani nation. It is hoped that this initiative of Punjab government would certainly help promote national unity, brotherhood and inter-provinces harmony and ultimately the return of international cricket back to the country.
