Handwara killings toll rises to four

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their stepped up state terrorism, today, killed one more youth when they opened fire on a demonstration in Drugmulla area of Kupwara district.
This raised Wednesday the death toll to four in the area from yesterday.
The youth, Jahangir Ahmad Wani was killed after a tear-gas shell fried by the Indian troops hit him in the head during the protest in Handwara. Jahangir Wani died on the spot.
Meanwhile, complete shutdown marked by curfew and strict restrictions was observed in occupied Kashmir against the killing of two youth and a woman in the unprovoked firing by Indian troops on peaceful protesters in Handwara, yesterday. Call for the strike was given by the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, and Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. The authorities had imposed curfew in Srinagar and Kupwara districts to prevent people from staging protests against the killings.
