Hamza asks IK to show sportsmanship

Harappa—Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Leader Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan to show sportsmanship and wait for the next election. ‘The public has rejected his Ehtesab Rally,” Hamza Shahbaz said. “Imran Khan’s dream of becoming prime minister has been shattered.”
While talking to media persons at the residence of former provincial minister Arshad Khan Lodhi in Harappa he added that all of the requests that Imran Khan sent to the Supreme Court were rejected. “Meanwhile our success in by-elections proved he was wrong.”
He appreciated the operation in Karachi, adding that peace had returned in the city. He promised that by 2018, load shedding will also go away.
Speaking about Imran Khan’s Raiwand march he accused him of getting personal. “I am glad that many opposition parties did not support his march,” he said. He added that one has to suffer exile to become prime minister. “You can not become prime minister by holding rallies,” he said hitting at Imran Khan.
He advised Imran Khan to exercise restrain. “Otherwise people will not consider him seriously.”
Hamza Shahbaz said that Imran Khan who is the proponent of ‘sit-in politics’ now wants to storm people’s residences in name of so-called accountability which is an evidence of his frustration.
Hamza reduced Imran Khan’s politics to mere games of allegations and said that he could not back his accusations against honourable Prime Minister before the Supreme Court bench.
People have rejected the kind of politics, practiced by PTI and other opposition parties, that is based on anarchy and disturbing the democratic norms, he said adding that results of General Elections 2018 would prove which party worked for the welfare of the people and who resorted to empty rhetoric.
While answering a question, he reiterated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would put forth Pakistan’s viewpoint on Kashmir dispute during his address in the United States for which he has departed earlier on Saturday.
Hamza Shahbaz said that the country was marching on the road of progress and prosperity under the able and wise leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that Nawaz Sahrif was a true Pakistani from head to toes. He said that the prime minister will plead Kashmir’s case in UN General Assembly.—SABAH
