Lahore—A four-member delegation from Haikou China hosted by the Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) arrived here to establish friendly relations with Lahore city.
In a ceremony at the Town Hall on Friday, Director General Haikou Foreign Affairs Office Mr Han Bin and DCO Muhammad Usman Younas signed a letter of intent to develop friendly exchanges and cooperation between Lahore and Haikou city.
According to the letter of intent, the two cities will carry out, in accordance with the principles of equality and mutual benefit, exchanges and cooperation in various forms in the fields of economy and trade tourism, education, medical care, agriculture, etc to promote common prosperity and development.
DCO Usman while speaking at the ceremony said, “Both China and Pakistan have rich cultural heritage and can benefit from each other greatly”.
Mr Han Bin said, “It’s time that China-Pakistan relationship takes a turn beyond economic ties and gain from each other’s diverse cultural heritage”.
The delegation also visited departments, including health and Information and culture, to seek cooperation on matters of common concern and to establish frequent communication and exchange of information.
