Habib University signs MOUs with World’s leading universities of US

Karachi—Habib University (HU), Pakistan’s first liberal arts and sciences university, signed the memorandum of understanding (MoUs) with globally renowned four best US (United States) universities, in Pakistani metropolitan city Karachi, this will give opportunities to Pakistani students to take advantage of understanding American education system and the experiences of foreign teachers by these collaborations.
According to MOU, Habib University, has got the honor of becoming Pakistan’s first university by signing MoUs with four American universities; however, MOUs with all the universities, Stanford University California, Pitzer College, University of Michigan and Harvey Mudd college, differ from one another.
The president of Habib university Mr. Wasif Akbar Rizvi and the Dean of Stanford university’s continuing studies and summer session Dr. Charles Junkerman signed a mutual agreement for the Stanford Summer International Honors Program (IHP) the agreement will help the students of Habib university to get courses into Stanford university, which is a private research university in Stanford, California, and one of the world’s leading educational institutions, with the top position in numerous rankings and measures in the United States.
According to HU’s office of Global engagement, the first batch of student in the academic year 2015-16 will depart from Karachi by 18th of June for Stanford, where students will get the courses according to their desire.
Since opening in 1891, Stanford has been dedicated to finding solutions to big challenges and to preparing students for leadership in a complex world.
The university also penned an MoU with Pitzer college, California for the programs of mutual cooperation in different curricular activities.
