Govt’s revolutionary policies to steer country out of crises

Faisalabad/ Multan—Pakistan Day was celebrated throughout the district Faisalabad on Wednesday with national zeal by renewing the pledge for utilizing all energies and capabilities to put the country on road to progress and prosperity. The day started with special prayers in mosques for the solidarity and national integrity. The main ceremony of flag hoisting was held at DCO Complex.
Members of Parliament Haji Akram Ansari, Begum Khalida Mansur, Haji Ilyas Ansari, Madiha Rana, Dr. Najma Afzal, Surraya Nasim, acting DCO Ejaz Khaliq Razaqi and CPO Afzal Kausar hoisted the national flag while the officers of different departments, representatives of civil society were also present on the occasion. Active contingent of police presented salute.
Addressing the ceremony MNA Haji Akram Ansari and other parliamentarians said that the entire nation was celebrating the Pakistan Day with unity as it was the historical day of Pakistan history when resolution for the independence of Pakistan was passed and Pakistan became into existence after short span of 7 years with the untiring efforts of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other leaders of Pakistan movement. He said that the present government, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, was following revolutionary policies for steering the country out of crises, and encouraging results had been achieved of the measures against terrorism.
He vowed that Pakistan would be made a welfare state by following the golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Acting DCO Ejaz Khaliq and CPO Afzal Kausar also spoke on the occasion and paid tributes to the martyrs of the Pakistan movement. They said, “Pakistan was achieved after offering a number of sacrifices and we will not spare any effort for the solidarity and progress of the country.” Later, special prayer was offered for the unity of the nation and development of Pakistan.
Like other parts of country, Pakistan Day was also observed with national zeal and fervour in Multan. The main ceremony in connection with Pakistan Day was held at District Coordination Officer’s office, which was participated by local parliamen-tarians, police officers and a good number of civil society members. District Coordination Officer (DCO) Zahid Saleem Gondal hoisted the national flag. One minute silence was also observed on eve of flag hoisting ceremony. A smart contingent of Punjab police presented guard of honour to the flag.
Addressing the ceremony, DCO Zahid Saleem Gondal stated that March 23, was one of the historic day as Muslims of subcontinent announced to launch struggle for separate homeland on the same day in 1940 in Lahore. He paid tributes to leaders of Pakistan Movement and other people who sacrificed their lives for great cause.
He stressed upon youngsters to work for progress and prosperity of the country. “Huge responsibility lies on our shoulders to serve the country,” Gondal maintained. Parliamentarians Haji Ehsanuddin Qureshi, Barrister Muhammad Ali, Begum Khaola Amjad and others also spoke on this occasion.—APP
