Govt to resolve FATA teachers issues

Islamabad—Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt. Gen.(R) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Friday assured the Senate that the government would resolve up-gradation issue of 20,000 teachers of FATA as it was their basic right.
He said the process of up-gradation of teachers was delayed because Rs nine billion were required for it and SAFRON ministry had raised the issue with finance ministry for release of the amount but they had raised some queries on it.
He assured the Senate that the said issue would be resolved soon in a proper manner. Senator Aurangzeb Khan and Senator Atta Ur Rehman staged a walkout from the session for not getting satisfactory answer.—APP
