Karachi,—Chairman Sarim Burney Trust, Sarim Burney called on the Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Human Rights, Rehana Legahri at her office and discussed issues related to human rights violation on Thursday.
Rehana Laghari appreciated the services of Sarim Trust and assured her full support in providing assistance to acid victims.
She underlined the need to create awareness in society regarding rights of children, women and minorities.
Referring to a recent case, Sarim said acid was thrown on a girl in the limits of Ajmer Nagri police station fifteen days ago adding that girl was seriously injured but hospital authorities denied her admission and just provided her first aid and medicine.
Mr. Sarim added that though police have arrested the nominated person.
However, the case has been transferred to Nazimabad Police Station from Ajmer Nageri.” influentials are forcing girl and her family to withdraw the case,” Mr. Burney added.
Special Assistant Rehana Leghari assured that Sindh Govt. would provide every possible assistance to girl and she herself would meet girl on Friday (today).
