Govt to be responsible in case of third force intervention: Imran

Nawaz has option to resign or face accountability

Peshawar—Holding Prime Minister Nawaz and his team responsible for leaking information about all important meeting on National Security to an English daily, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Sunday asked Mian Nawaz Sharif to either step down or present himself for the accountability adding he had no other option. The Captain, however, came hard on government for what he said doing dirty politics saying the Government’s Media cell was resorting to maligning the Pakistan army and its ministers have unleashed propaganda against the defenders of the country. He cautioned that in case there was political turmoil due to Nawaz Sharif’s refusal to step down or face the accountability and if a “Third Force” intervenes then entire responsibility of that would rest on Mian Nawaz Sharif and “company”.
PTI Chief, expressed these views while addressing a public rally in Dera Ismail Khan.
He said people talking of third force intervention or coming into power due to his sit-in on November 2 must know that only Nawaz Sharif government would be responsible for that and not the PTI. Imran said Nawaz Sharif was responsible for bringing the masses on the streets and November 2nd proposed Dherna of PTI.
.The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Supremo also warned the government of disastrous consequence if the PTI was stopped from peaceful protest on Nov 2. He said PTI protest was also against the accountability institutions including NAB, FBR and Election Commission of Pakistan. “If these institutions cannot take any action against the corrupt, then these should be closed down”. Imran maintained.
The rally was also addressed by the other PTI leaders including Shah Mehmood Qureshi who lambasted the opposition parties for not siding with the PTI in its struggle against the corrupt.
Targeting the opposition parties for not supporting the PTI in its sit in on November 2 , Imran and other party leaders said opposition was against PTI’s protest “because opposition leaders themselves are corrupt.”
Ahead of Nov 2 protest plan, the party Chairman Imran Khan Sunday decided to hold a ‘warm-up’ rally in Islamabad on Oct 31. Imran Khan will hold a whirlwind tour of 16 areas of capital on October 29.
The rally will be conducted to activate the workers. He will lead a car and motorcycle rally on October 29 and will visit the reception camps.
