Govt succeeded in promoting peace in country: Zia

Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), Senator Saleem Zia has said under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif federal government had succeeded in maintaining peace not only in mega city of Karachi but all over the country.
Talking to media after inauguration of Passport office here at Tando Muhammad Khan on Monday, Senator Saleem Zia said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had won the hearts of the people by announcing mega development schemes and special health package in Sindh, adding that people of all over the country would prove in the upcoming general elections that all the four provinces are the forts of Pakistan Muslim League-N.
He said that all required measures had been taken to undertake fair and transparent process of population census which was the constitutional requirement and it was the credit of PML-N government for holding 6th census in the country. He said a record development work was in progress during the tenure of PML-N government while opposition was criticizing the federal government to keep cover on its own misdeeds.
“We have put the country on a track of development and almost all mega projects are in a final stage of completion,” he said and added that opposition was engaged in disinformation campaign against PML-N, government to misguide the people of Pakistan in which they had completely failed.
Senator Zia said federal Government had provided protection to the minorities as it was their constitutional right. People belong to the minorities are the equal citizens of Pakistan, he added. On the occasion, Director Passport Khalid Memon and Passport Officer Tando Muhammad Khan Sultan Mehmood, Khalid Zubairi, Saeed Talpur and others were also present.—APP
