Govt not scared of PTI’s agitation, says Pervaiz

Islamabad—Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that the movement of PTI Chairman Imran Khan could not harm Pakistan and the government as it does not enjoy support of the masses
. He said Imran should wait for six months when the electioneering year will started and then approach the masses with his agenda of allegations. The masses will give verdict on his allegations through vote.
In an interview with a private TV channel he said the movement of Imran Khan would not create problems for government but it could create doubts about the ongoing development projects in country.
He said that the Pakistani people want politics of service instead of protest and sit-ins.
He said that those who talk about accountability should not allow people on containers who got loans written off.
He said that the Pakistani people want to maintain the pace of progress and prosperity and did not want negative politics. Also, the opponents of progress are doing politics of protests. If Imran Khan was serious about accountability then he should not have sacked the head of the Ehtasab Commission in his own province KP.
The Information Minister further said Imran Khan’s politics will be rooted out in the next general elections. “The enemies of peace can take advantage from Imran Khan’s politics of protest. Anarchy on roads will benefit the opponents of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,” he said.
Information Minister said legislation will be done to make the process of accountability transparent.
He stressed on making Imran Khan present his suggestions in this regard in Parliament.
