Govt implementing balanced policy for urban, rural areas uplift: Shehbaz

Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that government is implementing a balanced policy for the development of urban and rural areas and more resources have been allocated for the progress and prosperity of south Punjab than the ratio of its population. He said that every effort of the government is aimed at uplift of the masses and raising the living standard of the common man.
He said that the elements criticizing public welfare projects unjustifiably do not want development or prosperity of the people and they have been rejected by the masses in general elections of 2013 and local bodies’ elections as well. He said that the process of selfless service to the people will be continued more vigorously during the next two and a half years.
The Chief Minister said that Punjab government is fully benefiting from information technology for providing better services to the citizens. He said that information technology not only helps in providing better facilities to the masses but immediate resolving of complaints has also become possible therefore.
In view of this fact, he said, the scope of information technology is being expanded in government institutions for the benefit of citizens. He said that a new approach will have to adopted for serving the masses. The Chief Minister expressed these views while talking to Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman and elected representatives.
