Governor Sindh, Muhammad Zubair visited the residence of Arsal, a 12-year old boy who lost his life, during attempted attack on MQM-P leader Khawaja Izhar ul Hasan on Eid day.
A Sindh Governor House spokesman here on Thursday said the governor who reached home Wednesday, after performing Hajj, visited late Arsal’s family on the same day to share their grief and offer his condolence.
Talking to the child’s father Muhammad Farhan, he said their loss was irreparable and can in no way be compensated, however, all needed measures are being adopted to bring to task the culprits.
He also prayed for early recovery of Muhammad Farhan who too was injured during the tragic incident.
Assuring that the government was committed to restore peace in the metropolis, he said security and safety of masses is the top most priority of the authorities.
Earlier, the Governor visited the residence of Izhar ul Hasan, MQM-P leader and leader of the opposition in provincial assembly and inquired his well being consequent to attempted assault.
Muhammad Zubair regretting that precious lives of cop Moin, on security duty with MQM leader and that of a child belonging to the neighborhood were lost, expressed his gratitude that Izhar escaped unhurt.
He reiterated that conspiracies hatched against the commercial hub of the country will be efficiently countered.
Talking to media men, he said MQM-P holds strong presence in the urban areas of the province and can play significant role in restoration of law and order in Karachi.
Peace, he said is pre-requisite for poverty elimination, progress, prosperity and economic as well as social development across the country.
