Gender inclusive economic policy reforms

Ms Masooma Sibtain, Vice President of FPCCI while addressing the meeting of the Women National Business Agenda Development Initiative (WNBA) organized at FPCCI, Federation House, Clifton, Karachi said WNBA is a joint initiative of FPCCI and Center of International Private Enterprise – CIPE, a U.S. Chamber affiliate organization.
WNBA would provide frame work of gender including economic policy reforms in the country, and shall focus policies for SME development improve access to finance, Export Refinance Scheme and harmonization of Provincial Taxes for Women Entrepreneurs.
Chief Guest S.M. Muneer, former Chairman, TDAP and President FPCCI assured full support of FPCCI on WNBA initiatives and appreciated efforts of Ms Masooma Sibtain. The meeting was attended by women entrepreneurs’ from Sindh Officials of public sector organizations and this will be further extended to all the four provinces.
Mr. Hammad Siddiqui, Country Director CIPE said that collective efforts by women entrepreneurs shall be helpful in economic policies reforms and appreciated the efforts of WNBA that shall help in growing the businesses.
Joint Director of State Bank of Pakistan, Fatima Javaid said that by 2020 State Bank of Pakistan will increase share of financing SMEs by 15% specially through own financial services. Dr. Shahid Mir, Assistant Professor and Dr. M. Usman also addressed the gathering.
Aamer Ata Bajwa, Senior Vice President and Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Vice President of FPCCI in their closing remarks also assured full cooperation of FPCCI and hoped that WNBA would bring good results for women entrepreneurs.
