Geelani warns of RSS plans to change Kashmir demography

Srinagar—The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has said that Jammu and Kashmir is not a border, but a human issue directly involving the fate about political future of over 13 million Kashmiri people.
Syed Ali Geelani addressing media men at his residence in Srinagar, Monday said Kashmir is an international dispute which has also been accepted by India itself. He maintained that the Hindu fundamentalist organization RSS in connivance with the Peoples Democratic Party headed by Mehbooba Mufti has hatched a conspiracy to change the demography of the territory. Initially, police did not allow media personnel to enter the residence of Gilani. However, after their strong protest they were allowed to cover the press conference.
APHC Secretary General, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is currently admitted to Soura Medical Institute in Srinagar for treatment of cardiovascular diseases, in a statement said that Kashmir had been a core issue in all the dialogues between Pakistan and India. He was reacting to the assertions made by Indian Minister of State for External Affairs General (retired) V K Singh in which he had said that Hurriyet leaders were citizens of India. He termed the VK Singh’s statement as illogical, misleading and far from the reality.
The Chairman of his own Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq talking to media persons at his office in Srinagar denounced illegal house detention of Syed Ali Geelani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik and other Hurriyet leaders. He reiterated that Hurriyet leaders could not be forced into submission through such tactics.
