GB energy issue to be resolved: Minister

Senior Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Muhammad Akbar Taban has said that all available resources are being utilized to overcome energy shortage. He said that by the end of 2020, Gilgit-Baltistan government will include 95 MW more electricity in the system,reported Radio Pakistan.
He pointed out that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has approved 95 MW power project which will be constructed under Public Sector Development program.
To review the state of security measures at public places, Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate Gilgit, Muhammad Hamza Salik and SSP, Rana Mansurul Haq visited Giltig Airport, District Jail and district hospitals in detail and directed for further improving security arrangements at these places to avert any untoward incident.
ASF official, Mr. Shams gave a detailed briefing regarding security arrangements and informed them about measures being taken for the security of these public places. The DC directed airport security staff to install barbed wire on the walls of the airport. The both officers also visited District Jail Gilgit and inspected the control room. The jail administration informed them that 22 CCTV cameras have been installed.—APP
