Gathering of tourists of regional countries will open new avenues in tourism

Lahore—Provincial Minister for Tourism Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that due to gathering of representatives of tourism sector belonging to regional countries will open new avenues in the field of hospitality and tourism in the province.
He said that Punjab Tourism Corporation benefiting from the successful models of tourism in various countries is launching new tourism projects as well as rehabilitation of old tourist places in the province which included off road jeep rally, development of tourist place at Soon Sakesar Valley and construction of new resorts at Derawar Fort Cholistan.
Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that Punjab is an attractive province for foreign tourists where centuries old cultural, religious and historical places attract them.
He expressed these views while addressing the concluding session of a 2-day regional tourism workshop at a local hotel. Delegates from South Asian countries, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and India expressing their views on the occasion thanked the love and hospitality of Lahorities.
At the end of the workshop, souvenirs were distributed among the participants by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab. The participants were also provided opportunity of shopping and visit of Lahore city.
