Rawalpindi—Fumigation drive is under way in various areas of the Cantonment to avert spread of dengue virus. According to Rawalpindi Cantonment Board spokesman, this year, aggressive approach is being adopted to cope with the situation and fight against dengue virus in a effective manner.
On the instruction of the CEO Dr.Saima Shah said that special steps are being taken to control dengue in the cantonment area.
She said that all possible precautionary measures to control dengue virus would be taken. A campaign to conduct anti-dengue spray in all cantonment areas has been started, which will continue till the threat of the disease, is over. She said a large number of tyres have also been confiscated and tyre shops have been fined with warning, that uncovered and unpacked tyres new or used, should not be displayed which leads to spreading of dengue larva.—APP
