French Embassy showcases artworks of Lahore, Pindi’s NCA artists

Some 30 students of the National College of the Arts, Lahore and Rawalpindi, won praise of the artists, art lovers and diplomats at the French Embassy that organized exhibition titled “The Real and Its Double” showcasing their works at its premises here on Wednesday.
There were a total of 34 artworks including one live ‘art performance’ by the artist Faryal Yazdanie. She titled her performance as “White Paper, Black Marker”. In his welcome address Marc Barety said Pakistani youth is gifted with immense talent. “By accepting the real, one can generate one’s own wisdom,” said the ambassador explaining the title of the exhibition.
Talking to Pakistan Observer, Founder Director of Nomad Art Gallery and eminent artist Nageen Hayat said she liked the works of the young artists. Their pro-activism and treatment of subject deserved our appreciation, she said.
