FPPA to move court against govt policy

Peshawar—Frontier Printers and Publishers Association (FPPA) will move court against the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s decision to go into open tender system at country level for printing of textbook.
President Frontier Printers and Publishers Association Iqtidar Ali Akhunzada told APP here that they have requested time again to KP Chief Minister and Provincial Education Minister Atif Khan to understand their issues but both didn’t give them any satisfactory reply.
He said that provincial government is not serious to resolve their issue, adding that the Education Minister gave them assurance that Chairman and members of Textbook Board would sit with them to sort out amicable solution. He said that 97 percent registered printing press has been closed down in the province due to implication of new printing policy but the KP government has yet to take any step. Akhunzada said that the provincial government’s decision to go into open tender system at country level for printing of textbook has left the local printer.—APP
