FPCCI lauds performance of TDAP

Karachi—Abdul Rauf Alam, President and Khalid Tawab Senior Vice President FPCCI have strongly condemned the statement of Senator Saleem Mandviwala, former Chairman of BoI published in print media criticizing the performance of TDAP and suggesting to do away with. They expressed their surprise and astonishment of the statement and said that TDAP after a longtime has become corruption free and business friendly entity under the leadership of S.M. Muneer who is a dedicated, devoted and selfless person who brought about revolutionary changes in TDAP which has been appreciated by all the business community across Pakistan.
They stated that TDAP which has been facilitating the business community as evident from the fact that during S.M. Muneer’s tenure TDAP has successfully organized more than 120 international exhibitions in various countries, more than 100 trade delegations were sponsored, organized Expo Pakistan in Karachi, Alishan Pakistan in India and Sri Lanka with the view to exploring new and unconventional markets for the promotion of export of the country. This reflects the professional capability and efficiency of the present Chief Executive TDAP S.M. Muneer, Secretary TDAP Rabia Jawairia and other senior officers of TDAP, they added.
Rauf Alam stated that it was S.M. Muneer who took the challenge of assuming the charge of TDAP Chief when no one was aspirant of the assignment mainly due to un-precedent corruption of Rs.13 billion in which many federal ministers and high ups of the then government were involved against whom more than 100 FIRs were lodged which are still under the process of investigations. He further pointed out that S.M. Muneer who is a business tycoon is rendering his services to the noble cause of the country in general and business community in particular without any remuneration and entitled perks.
