Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Ch Shujat Hussain, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq and Ch Parvez Elahi have said that out of five member bench of the Supreme Court none had declared the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as “Sadiq & Ameen” They asked the PM to resign prior to appearance before JIT. Chief Justice of Pakistan should ensure transparency of JIT and its performance should be made public after every fortnight,” they demanded.
The three political leaders were talking to the media after a meeting. Amir Jamaat-e-Islami along with party leaders Dr Fareed Piracha, Mian Maqsood Ahmad, Dr Waseem Akhtar, Asghar Gujjar and Qaiser Sharif called on Chaudries.
During meeting between the leaders of the two parties, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Senator Kamil Agha, S. M. Zafar, Dr Khalid Ranjha, Muhammad Basharat Ranjha, Ch Zaheeruddin, Azeemuddin Lakhvi and Mian Munir were also present. It was decided to form a committee comprising two senior lawyers of each party which will monitor working of JIT on daily basis. A delegation headed by Ch Shujat Hussain will visit Mansoora on Monday to formally invite Jamaat-e-Islami to join grand opposition alliance on Panama issue.
Ch Shujat Hussain said that all opposition parties should forget about their differences. “Our meeting with Amir Jamaat-e-Islami was very useful”, he said.
Ch Parvez Elahi said all opposition parties are unanimous against corruption and are in favour of forming alliance.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq while appreciating the role of Ch Parvez Elahi, Tariq Bashir Cheema and Kamil Ali Agha on formulating joint TORs of the opposition over Panama case said that on his arrival here he is thankful to the senior most politician of Pakistan Ch Shujat Hussain. He said corruption is mother of all problems, joint team of lawyers of Jamaat-e-Islami and Muslim League will be announced shortly. JIT is always constituted against terrorists, this is the first time that the prime minister as an accused has been directed to appear before JIT by the Supreme Court.
Sirj-ul-Haq said Pakistan Muslim League, Sunni Ittehad Council, Majlis Wahdatul Musalmeen and Pakistan Awami Tehrikh have decided to form alliance.
After the meeting a six point joint declaration was issued in which lawyers movement was fully supported.
The joint declaration said that in the light of Panama verdict, the prime minister has become an accused. To meet the requirements of justice it is demanded that he should immediately resign, to keep the JIT free from unnecessary influence of the prime minister. The PML and JI also called for publication of Justice Bariq Najfi’s report on Model Town tragedy.

Zafar, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Ch Zaheeruddin, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Dr Khalid Ranjha, Dr Azeemuddin Lakhvi, Mian Munir, Sheikh Umar Hayat, Shadab Jaffery, Pakistan Awami Tehrik leaders Dr Basharat Jaspal, Sunni Ittehad Council’s Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Majlis Wahdatul Musalmeen Allama Nasir Abbas and Asad Abbas Naqvi.
