Four unidentified and armed bandits on Monday were shot and killed during encounter with the police. According to police, six unidentified and armed robbers on two motor cycles during early morning hours deprived one Asif s/o Anwar Ali of a motor cycle, 25000 rupees and other valuables at gun point near Muzaffarpur railway crossing, in the limits of the Uggoki police station, and escaped.
While escaping the robbers encountered a mobile police party, led by sub-Inspector Asghar Ali, at a nearby petrol pump and opened firing at them. The police party also returned fire and started chasing the robbers, who were heading towards a nearby village Dhattal.
