Foundation of new Silk Route School for Technology laid at IIUI with Chinese cooperation

Islamabad—Pak-China Economic Corridor will be the guarantor of peace and economic prosperity in the region. CPEC will bring new waves of development and progress and the era of advancement in Pakistan will start which sets new examples of friendship between Pakistan and China. People of China are ready to share its fruits of development and want to move Pakistanis up.
The CPEC project will open new avenues of economic development in Pakistan. These views were expressed by the speakers at the seminar which was jointly organized by Council of Islamic Chinese Relations and International Islamic University, Islamabad with the title of “Pak-China Together for Development” in which high officials from Chinese and Pakistani leading companies/industry and business firms addressed the seminar. On the occasion, IIUI with the cooperation of China also laid foundation stone of New Silk Route School for Technology in the university. The university is also going to launch undergrad degree program on “Railway System of Engineering” and “China’s Philosophy of Development” soon. Rector IIUI Dr Masoom Yasinzai said IIUI is playing an active role in socio-economic up-lift of the country.
“University believes in the philosophy of education for development and prosperity of the society and to find solutions of social issues through educational research”. He further added. Dr. Masoom said that CPEC is a great gift from China and people of Pakistan are very eager to see its completion within its time frame.
Rector IIUI briefed that the university is producing skilled human resource and professionals equipped with contemporary modern technologies. While addressing the seminar, Mr. Zhong Longhai Office Academic Block, International Islamic University, Sector H-10, Islamabad.
Chairman Shanghai Anpu Corporation said that China wants Pakistan development and will provide all possible cooperation to Pakistan and Chinese companies are investing in different sectors in Pakistan particularly in energy sector.
He further admired the outstanding contributions of IIUI in the field of higher studies and research. Zhang also highlighted the role of the university in developing people to people contact to boost up the cooperation that would set new avenues of growth for both countries.
Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh in his speech said that government of Pakistan is moving forward with meaningful education and supporting universities in all respects. President IIUI said that the students from more than forty countries are studying in the university who are playing positive role in promoting relations between Pakistan and their respective countries.
He also mentioned the large number of Chinese students enrolled in IIUI who are also unofficial ambassador of China in Pakistan. Seminar also addressed by MR. Mazahr Alli Shah Director General Railway who briefed about the Pakistan Railway structure and highlight the potential of mutual cooperation in different fields between the two countries. Representative of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority also briefed about the projects of development and cooperation in the IT sector in Pakistan. On this occasion, others also expressed their views, including Major (Retired) Mohammad Amir, Dr. Zia ul Haq, Engr. Muhammad Usman CEO Nizam Energy Pakistan Private.
