Karachi—The Inspector General of Police Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, on Sunday inaugurated the Foreigners’ Registration Office Special Branch.
A spokesperson for the Sindh Police said that Rs. 5 million was also released for this cell. The IGP was given a detailed briefing about the office, he added.
The IGP directed that the authenticated record of the particulars of visitors from abroad should be preserved, Their arrivals, registration as well as required documents should also be made part of the record.
He instructed that in collaboration with NADRA, software be prepared for preserving the entire data pertaining to period of their stay, and visa validity dates should also be preserved.
The IGP instructed that trained staff should be deployed for duty at the cell.
