FJWU to establish nursing school

Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) is considering to establish a nursing school said Prof. Dr. Samina Ameen Qadir, Vice Chancellor (VC) FJWU.
Talking to APP she said, National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) recently approached the University for establishing a girls nursing school.
She said, “I think it’s very important occupation for girls. If a nursing school is established by the university, it would be a good broad based program for females who can become competent professionals in this profession.”
She said, “We have a vision and we want to do something for nursing as it is a professional avenue for girls.”
Dr. Samina further said, the girls who wanted to join the profession can get jobs easily. She further said, there are number of medical colleges in the country but, shortage of nursing schools and we want to play a role in this regard.—APP
