Five-year-old girl forced to work at brick kiln

Sialkot—While Punjab Government imposed ban on child labour at bricks kiln, violations of child labour at bricks kiln were still going on. PS Headmirala on Friday registered a case against child labour at bricks kiln of its jurisdiction.
According to an FIR, an owner of Bricks Kiln of Bhadarpur, Imran Akbar involved in bounded a five-year-old girl, Hijaab, for labour at his workplace. She belongs to a poor family. She has to work for her younger brother and sister.
It was a tragic incident that innocent girl was forced to work at bricks kiln whereas the government strictly ordered to send the children school rather at workplace.
In other incident, same police station registered another FIR against Arshad, an owner of Bricks Kiln at Dryabud who forced Fazal, a 13-year-old boy for labour at his workplace. Police have registered cases against them under Child Labour Act and started investigation.
