Five security men hurt in Torkham blasts

At least five security personnel and two Afghans were injured in two blasts close to the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan, security officials confirmed on Friday.
According to security officials, the injured were shifted to CMH Landi Kotal. The Pak-Afghan border crossing at Torkham has also been closed following the blasts. The incident comes a day after Pakistan and Afghanistan held meetings at the Ministry of Defence in Kabul.
At least six Frontier Constabulary personnel and a child were injured in two consecutive explosions at the Pak-Afghan border at Torkham, security officials said on Friday.
The FC personnel, who were deployed at the gate, and a passerby child received injuries as a result of the two blasts.
Following the blasts, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the adjoining areas. The border crossing was also closed for all types of traffic.
Meanwhile, the injured have been rushed to the Combined Military Hospital, Peshawar, for treatment.
