First stop TB initiative screening camp at Site

First Stop TB Pakistan’s Initiative Screening Camp was conducted on 20th November, 2017 at a member factory of SITE Association of Industry under Stop TB Partnership, Pakistan’s Initiative Program organized for screening of factory workers for TB diagnosis and treatment in collaboration with Community Health Services (CHS).
This free of cost TB Screening Camp was conducted after giving a Presentation to the Members of SITE Association of Industry to get their support in provision of diagnostic and treatment services for TB to factory workers.
About 300 factory workers were screened at the First Stop TB’s Camp at a SITE factory. Similar free of cost Stop TB’s Camps would also be conducted at other member factories of SITE Association of Industry and such factories would also be issued Certificates of TB-Free Factories by the WHO.
Stop TB Pakistan (National Partnership) is affiliated with Stop TB Partnership, Geneva, Switzerland and is making efforts in collaboration with the United Nations (UN), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as National and Provincial TB Control Programs to end TB by the year 2030. It identifies TB cases among factory workers by providing diagnostic and treatment services at their doorsteps free of cost.
First Stop TB Screening Camp at SITE was witnessed as Guests of Honour by Mr. Muhammad Jawed Bilwani, President, SITE Association of Industry along with Mr. Abdul Rasheed, Senior Vice President, Mr. Muhammad Saleem Nagaria, Vice President.
