59th FC passing out parade held in Loralai
Loralai—The 59th passing out parade of recruits who completed their professional training courses and joined the Frontier Corps Balochistan held, here on Thursday.
The 3414 recruits participated in the passing out parade. The ceremony held in connection with the passing out parade was attended by Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Inspector General, FC Balochistan, Maj General. Sher Afgun, IG Police Balochistan, Ahsan Mehboob, Advisor to Chief Minister on Forest, Obaidullah Khan Babat, Advisor to Chief Minister on Industries, Sardar Dur Muhammad Nasar, Commandant FC Loralai Scouts, Col. Hasnain, Chief Instructor, School of FC and Training Loralai, Lt Col. Ahsan Jahangir, senior civil and military officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the IG FC said that Balochistan has been facing challenges of militancy and extremism. We are in state of war on terror as foreign funded militant groups have been waging insurgency and unrest, he said, adding that it was FC which had played pivotal role in foiling nefarious designs of enemies in Balochistan.
Around 670 officials and personnel of FC Balochistan have been martyred in line of duty and over 1800 suffered injuries while taking action against militants and terrorists and during performing duties to serve masses. The center is providing training to recruits for 42 years and current badge of recruits include 870 personnel from Balochistan, he said.
The IG FC further said that FC not only fighting enemies of Pakistan but also playing its role in imparting education to children of Balochistan and providing healthcare to local people. FC has been running several schools, colleges and hospitals, he said.—APP
