FC personnel take charge of parliament security Islamabad

Personnel of the Frontier Constabulary took charge of the Parliament House security on Thursday after Rangers withdrew from the duty on Wednesday. The move came after the controversy over the deployment of Rangers outside Accountability Court during the hearing of corruption references against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. As the Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal expressed stern resentment over Rangers deployment at the Federal Judicial Complex, the paramilitary force conditioned their security duties to a written application. However; Rangers are still deployed with policemen at 15 joint patrolling and significant entrance and checkpoints of the capital.—INP
