FATA merger a good omen for tribals: Shoukat

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information & Public Relations, Shoukat Ali Yousafzai while terming the merger of FATA as a good omen for the tribals, has hoped that it will be the beginning of a new era for the long neglected tribal people.
He was speaking at two-day national Conferee on merger of FATA in the province here on Thursday at Benazir University Peshawar. The Minister said that newly merged districts of erstwhile FATA were fully neglected by previous governments and basic rights were not provided to the tribals He expressed his hope that after merger of these districts, the funds allocated for erstwhile FATA would be spent on welfare and development of tribal people.
On the occasion, Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor Benazir University, Dr. M. Sohail Assistant Professor Mardan University, Saeeda Rafiq Assistant Professor GC University Lahore and others also addressed the conference.
