Karachi—Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Farooq Sattar was severely injured in a road accident that left his vehicle “completely destroyed” on Super Highway, a party leader told media late Sunday night.
“He is being moved to a hospital in Karachi, his condition is out of danger,” Khawaja Izharul Hassan, a senior leader of the MQM said.
The incident occurred near Nooriabad on the Super Highway when the MQM leader was returning from Hyderabad along with his comrades and security guards.
“Farooq bhai is safe, he has sustained injuries to his head and neck,” he said, adding that four other people travelling with the MQM leader were injured. “A police guard is in critical condition, he has been moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital” he said.
