Farooq directs timely completion of departmental projects

Muzaffarabad—Education, health, hydro-power generation, communication and development of infrastructure are among the top priorities of the present government. Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said this while presiding over the meeting of planning and development department here on Monday. Comprehensive strategy should be formulated to monitor the progress of the ongoing development projects, he added.
The Premier di-rected the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of all the development projects and also ensure standard and quality of construction work.
Mr. Haider also directed to desist from the prac-tice of unnecessary delay of these projects and en-sure their completion within the budgetary alloca-tions.
He said that stringent measures would be afoot for financial discipline in all public institutions and added that steps would also be taken to generate resources to stand on our own feet.
“The Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had announced during one of his visits to AJK for pro-viding twelve billion and seventy crore rupees for the construction of AJK legislative assembly build-ing. Sharif has approved this amount for the con-struction of LA building” he said.
Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Dr. Syed Asif Hussain Shah on this occasion briefed Mr. Haider on the ongoing development projects in the state.
