Farida, Zamurada shocked over brutish plight of internees

srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the Patron of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement Farida Behanji and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen (KTK) Chairperson, Zamurada Habib with thousands of people have expressed concern over the plight of political detainees and arrest of innocent Kashmiris in the territory. Detainees are being tortured in their private parts.
The women leaders in their statements in Srinagar said that Kashmir dispute was a reality and frequent demand raised by international leaders for settlement of the dispute was the writing on the wall for India. They called upon New Delhi to shun obduracy on Kashmir and resolve the dispute as per aspirations of the Kashmiri people. They said that the delay in resolution of the Kashmir dispute would continue to endanger regional and global peace.
Farida Behanji and Zamruda Habib while expressing concern over arrest spree asked India to stop the process immediately. They said that detainees lodged in Baramulla, Kathua and other jails were not being provided proper and medical facilities.
They said that dozens of people from the Valley had been shifted to Jammu under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) where they were facing inhuman treatment by the jail authorities.—KMS
