Farewell reception in honour of outgoing High Commissioner of Canada

Dean of Diplomatic corps and Ambassador of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov held a farewell ceremony in honour to the outgoing Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Perry John Calderwood.
A large number of Ambassadors from the Diplomat Corps were present to bid farewell to their colleague.
Speaking on the occasion Atadjan Movlamov, while highlighting the services and contributions of the outgoing ambassador paid him rich tributes.
Excellency, you have rendered valuable services in strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Canada.
He said that Perry Calderwoodis a prominent personality of his country and a well-known diplomat of his country and abroad, with rich work experience.
He pursued his Bachelor of Artsin Soviet and Eastern European Studies at Carleton, graduating in 1983.
He went on to receive his Master’s inInternational Affairsin 1987.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan said that Perry Calderwood has done a great job for developing bilateral relations between Canada and Pakistan.
He said wish him new success in his future career. Once again I thank him for being with us in Islamabad, for his friendship and cooperation.

Speaking on the occasion Perry Calderwood said Pakistan is one of the wonderful countries of the world.
During my presence in country, my aim was to promote and highlight the relationship to much-higher level than before.
Ties between Pakistan and Canada are bound to grow and see new heights as the people of Pakistan and Canada feel deeply for each other.
In the end, he asked Pakistani government and friends to extend same cooperation and support to his successor who would be joining them soon.
