Faisalabad residential colony declared illegal

Faisalabad—Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has declared ‘Gulshan-e-Haram’ as an illegal housing scheme and asked the general public to not purchase plots in it.
According to a spokesman of the FDA, under Local Government Ordinance 2001 and Development of Citizens Act 1976, all the housing scheme developers are bound to seek permission from the FDA before developing any residential scheme, but the Gulshan-e-Haram residential scheme situated at Chak No.222-RB Sammundri Road Faisalabad was developed without fulfilling requirements.
The FDA also moved letters to Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Manager Planning and Designing Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) and General Manager Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) for stoppage of issuing water supply, sewerage, electricity and gas connections in this housing scheme. The FDA has also directed the developers of the Gulshan-e-Haram housing scheme to complete all requirements before sale any plot, spokesman added.—APP
