Factory owner arrested

Lahore—Police has arrested owner of a private company on the charge of making hostage a team of Pakistan Standard and Quality Control Authority which sealed his factory three days ago.
On the application of PSQCA inspector Aqib-ur-Rehman, police arrested Muhammad Ali, owener of ‘Ali Cables’ and started investigation into the incident.
According to spokesman of PSQCA, a private factory named Ali Cables was served many notices for renewal of its licence but it refused and a special team on the direction of PSQCA DG Engr. Khalid Siddique on Friday raided the factory and sealed it. Owner Muhammad Ali, Quality Manager Abdul Rehman, Sajid Hussain and other staff made the PSQCA team hostage.
After receiving call on helpline, a police team reached the spot and recovered PSQCA staff from the factory.—APP
