Extra-Curriculum activities pivotal for youth

Islamabad—Deputy Mayor Islamabad, Zeshan Ali Naqvi Monday said that extra-curriculum activities were necessary for youth as it flourished the qualities of the students to enlight their future.
He was speaking as a chief guest at a annual Inter-University Qirat competition Spring 2016, organized here by the Preston university Islamabad.
While congratulating winners and university management for arranging such kind of successful competitions, he said the enthusiasm among the students was seen in the competition.
Earlier, in his opening remarks, the Vice Chancellor of the Preston University, Dr Abdul Basit highlighted the role of the University for Promoting education sector since last 30 years.
The university, he said, besides the education, was also organizing extra-curriculum activities regularly including sports, Qirat and speeches etc competition every year.
He congratulated the winners of the Qirat competition and urged them to play their due role for the development of the country.
The first position among females was secured by Hafiza Rida Faruq Government Women College Lahore, while second position was capture by Saira Sultana Butt Quaid e Azam University. The third position was secured by the Nimra Sultana International Islamic University Islamabad.
