Expired medicines

The expired medicines are being sold openly at medical stores in many areas of Pakistan. Most of the medical stores do not have government licenses but still running their shops. Instead of checking these stores, the drug inspectors are involved and allowing the illegal medical stores to operate. The Drug Regulatory Authority officials are involved in the sale of unregistered and substandard medicines.
The people are falling ill by using fake and expired medicines. The expired medicines became a crisis for Pakistan in 2012, when almost 100 people died and 40,000 were affected by several diseases while using expired medicines. The government should ban the sale of expired medicines and protect the public from diseases.
